What is Taninah?

  • Taninah is a fully staffed, meals included, ecologically friendly private jungle retreat encompassing ten fenced and gated acres.

  • Five of the property's ten acres provide a paradise-like setting for five charming and unique guest houses, incredible installations, and incomparable amenities.

  • Taninah is ideally suited for multiple couples traveling with or without children, multi-generational families, family reunions, weddings and/or discriminating travelers looking for an exotic and genuine vacation experience.

  • Taninah can accommodate up to 35 guests and is only offered in its entirety to one group at a time.

  • Our guests enjoy private and exclusive use of Taninah's 10-acre property.



    Our guest houses are never offered for rent individually.

Location

  • Taninah is located in the heart of Mexico’s famed Riviera Maya.

  • Cancun International Airport is located one hour and fifteen minutes north of Taninah.

  • All major Riviera Maya attractions, tours, and adventures are located within 30 to 45 minutes of Taninah.

  • Playa del Carmen is located just 16 miles north of Taninah.

Accommodations

  • Taninah offers five unique and charming guest houses as well as other comfortable structures that provide additional sleeping areas.

  • All guest houses are furnished
    with ceiling and/or floor fans.

  • Guest houses are not equipped with A/C; however, all are naturally cool and comfortable even in hot summer months.

  • Available beds include 8 king beds, 3 queen beds, 1 matrimonial bed, 7 double futons (sofa beds), 4 individual beds, 4 inflatable beds, and 2 cribs.

  • By sharing guest houses and furnishing the library, multipurpose room, and other structures with additional beds, Taninah can accommodate families consisting of as many as 35 members.












  • All guest houses, the library, and multipurpose room offer large, comfortable, airy, ecologically sound, and odorless composting bathrooms and yes, hot water is always available.

Our Unique Accommodations

Rates

  • Rates are quoted in U.S. dollars and subject to change without notice.

  • Rates are quoted per person per night.

  • Per person per night rates depend upon specific reservation dates and number of guests ages 6 and older at the time of travel.

  • Generally speaking, our standard, non-holiday rates range between $100 and $165 USD per person per night.

  • Children under age 6 (at the time of travel) stay free of charge - passport copy required.

All reservations include:

  • Private and exclusive use of entire 10-acre property.

  • Helpful, friendly, and attentive on-site Mayan staff provide meal service, daily maid service, maintain and clean grounds, lounge areas, and kitchen.
    Our on-site staff is available 24/7 to assist you with any need that might
    arise during your Taninah experience.

  • Off-site property manager for daily support, assistance, and concierge services also available 24/7.

  • Leopoldo, your private Mayan cook, preparing outrageous fresh daily meals from our popular menu plan (including cost of food).
